Dawow Moms (and dads) from different walks of life gathered last October 8, 2017 as they celebrated International Babywearing Week at University of Southeasthern Philippines-Social Hall, Obrero, Davao City. International Babywearing Week is week-long event that is observed in different countries to help raise awareness and share information about the benefits of babywearing. 

 250 moms and dads enjoyed the culmination day as they participated in the games, infomative talks, raffles and babywearing demos prepared by Dawow Moms' Admins. 

The program kick-started with an inspirational speech from the City Mayor's Office delivered by City Health Office head Dr. Josephine Villafuerte. It was followed with an infomative Child First Aid and Emergency CPR Talk conducted by Central 911 representatives' Jerymy Jan Carlo Yu, Mary Kris Joy Manuel, Mark Anthon Cabarubbias, and Crispin Fabracuer Jr. Participants learned about the basic CPR, Heimlich Maneuver, first aid responses to burns/cuts/bruises and many more.

One of the program's highlights is the Babywearing Talk (by yours truly) that discussed topics about the basics of babywearing, benefits of babywearing, how to choose a carrier, and science behind babywearing. Through out the program lots of prizes provided by the generous sponsors were to given to some lucky mommy participants. While moms are all thrilled by the raffles and games, dads and companions are also entertained by the food and amazing items available at the momprenuers' selling booths.  After the talks and games, the program ended with a Babywearing Momba (mommy zumba) led by Jessa Sumagaysay, Desiree Crame, Brenda Mae Estorba, and Faith Anne Mae Tahura.
