The Mothers Club Black & White Year-End Party

We all know that being a mom is a tough job. How much more if you're a teen mom who goes thru everyday parenting struggle without any emotional and moral support. As for me, I became a mom at a young age of 16 and it was very difficult. I don't have anyone to share about my concerns since my peers cannot relate to my problems. Support group is a big help to me during those times. It is a safe place to read and share stories to other women who goes thru the same difficulties. One of those is The Mothers Club (TMC). I've been a member of TMC since 2012. Formerly known as Sexy Cool Young Moms, The Mothers Club, is a local mommy support group in Davao City, Philippines utilizing Facebook to help new teen moms cope up with motherhood and pregnancy.
Since juggling work and motherhood is so exhausting it is appropriate for us to relax, pamper and glam up ourselves, right? So the admins of TMC decided to organize a Black & White Themed year-end party. For about 4 years being active in this group, this is the first grand event TMC has ever conducted. I am so excited as well as overwhelmed to be part of the organizing committee of The Mothers Club Black & White Year-End Party last December 3, 2016 held at the B.S. Inn Business Hotel, Gempesaw St. corner Monteverde, Davao City.
The fun-filled event was hosted by Annie, Owner & Event Organizer of Fayery Concepts.

The whole hall was filled with laughter and enthusiasm as the mommies participated in the games & raffle draws. Everyone is excited for the raffle because one of the major prizes is the Camel Washing Machine! Aside from home appliances showcase, there are also beauty products, noche buena packages, baby items & gift checks given away. Participants did go home with something for Christmas.

The food served by B.S. Inn Business Hotel is really good. The lechon is donated by Davao Catering Service. While the cakes and sweets were from Just Bee Sweets & Vera's Sweet Corner.
After the games & dinner, few mommies we're given special awards & prizes namely Miss Congenialty 2016, FabMommy 2016, Mommy of the Year 2016, and Best Dressed.
This bubbly lady, Jennifer Honor, won majority of the crowds' votes and was awarded as Miss Congeniality.
Vicora Ramos's mermerizing beauty and confidence landed her the Best Dressed award.
There were tears shed as Mommy Pie Garcia the Mommy of the Year award winner shared about her life story on how she takes care of her family and currently fighting cancer. The room was filled with mixed emotions of gladness, strength and hope for her.
Overall that was a night we can never forget. The friendship, empowerment and love shared by each member is something we will treasure. We may have stumbled once in our life but we will never stop improving ourselves for our family and loved ones.
